With her cotton candy pink hair and a penchant for wielding a gun, Marmalade bursts into Baron’s life like a whirlwind.
Baron, feeling stuck in a dead-end job and caring for his ailing mother, Eda, is captivated by Marmalade’s free spirit.
However, Marmalade harbors a dark secret: a troubled past filled with the scars of foster care.
Fueled by a desire to escape their monotonous realities, Marmalade hatches a plan for a daring bank heist.
Baron, blinded by his infatuation, readily agrees. The heist, however, goes awry, landing Baron behind bars. As Baron regales Otis with his story, the narrative takes on a dreamlike quality.
We see glimpses of their life on the run, a thrilling escape from the FBI, and a love story painted in vibrant hues.
But as the story progresses, cracks begin to appear in Baron’s carefully crafted narrative.
Otis, a seasoned criminal with a keen eye for detail, starts to question inconsistencies.
The truth, when finally revealed, is a bombshell. It turns out that Baron’s tale of Marmalade was a carefully constructed illusion.
The mastermind behind the bank heist, the one who meticulously planned every detail, was Baron himself.
The revelation forces us to re-evaluate everything we thought we knew about Baron.
