Their apartment serves as a microcosm of the immigrant experience in New York City—dreams crammed into tight spaces, constantly hustling to make ends meet.
As the pressure mounts with his expiring visa, Alejandro stumbles upon an unconventional opportunity.
Renowned but erratic art-world outcast Renata, played by the ever-transformative Tilda Swinton, needs an assistant.
Desperate to stay in the U.S. and pursue his design dreams, Alejandro takes the job, hoping that Renata’s influence might open doors for him.
Working for Renata is anything but ordinary. Her artistic process is bizarre and unpredictable, pushing the boundaries of the conventional art world.
Alejandro finds himself navigating a world of eccentric characters and outlandish situations, all while trying to maintain a sense of his own artistic identity.
The constant threat of deportation hangs over Alejandro’s head, a ticking time bomb that fuels his determination to succeed.
