The Plot

The following plot of this movie can be found on IMDB. And it summarizes what this movie encompasses. On top of that, it is the user-generated storyline of the whole movie.

***

In London, Detective Sergeant June Lenker is investigating a scary call from an unknown person who says they’re in danger and hints at a link to an old case – a murder from ten years ago. The detective who worked on that case, DI Daniel Hegarty, is now under scrutiny for how he handled it.

Lenker thinks the guy convicted of the murder, Errol Mathis, might be innocent, but her colleagues don’t agree. Hegarty, worried about his reputation, sees Lenker’s investigation as a problem.

Their different views bring up old secrets, racism, and problems with the system. Lenker finds evidence that questions the original conviction, but Hegarty doesn’t want to admit he might be wrong.

They clash a lot, and their personal lives and jobs get mixed up. Can they work together to find the truth, or will they keep fighting, making things worse? “Criminal Record” is a tense story about finding truth and justice in a society struggling with its own problems.
